Eylene Clifford is a ceramic artist based in Gauteng, South Africa, working from a remote studio on a farm where nature, solitude, and sensory awareness shape her creative process. Her ceramics are quiet explorations of inner and outer worlds — vessels that hold not only form but feeling.
Eylene’s work is deeply informed by her sensory experiences and emotional landscape. She draws inspiration from the world around her — textures in nature, seasonal shifts, embodied movement — and from within: an ongoing inquiry into psychology, social conditioning, and the often-unspoken layers of identity. Central to her creative inquiry is the lived experience of women. Her ceramics reflect themes of embodiment, self-worth, and the complex relationships women have with their bodies in a world that idealizes perfection.
Through Eylene Clifford Ceramics, she creates functional and sculptural pieces that invite presence, slowness, and reflection. Her work has been exhibited and collected internationally, and she has taught both in her studio and online, creating intimate learning experiences for a global community.
Alongside her ceramic practice, Eylene curates workshops and spaces for women to explore new ways of seeing and experiencing their bodies — shifting narratives, reclaiming self-value, and connecting through creative practice.
